Moving in and out of the third row is as easy as a push a button. With the smart one-touch 2nd row sliding walk-in device, the second row seats automatically move forward and tilt down for a convenient entry.
The Remote Smart Parking Assist system integrated to your smart key starts the car remotely and allows you to control forward and backward movements of the vehicle. This conveniently allows easier parking or exiting from tight spaces and garages. Emergency braking is applied when the system detects any objects.

To deliver exceptional car-like handling with comfort and dependability to suit our unique conditions, the Sorento was subjected to an extensive local ride & handling tuning program over thousands of kilometres across urban, country and outback roads in Australia.
Smartstream 1.6L turbo petrol engine works in tandem with an electric motor and the 6-speed transmission to provide a smooth and energetic drive. Hybrid models come in FWD & AWD options, while Plug-in Hybrid is available in AWD.
The Sorento hybrid offers an impressive 5.4L/100km Combined[F] efficiency on FWD grade.
Energy storage is managed by a 1kWh Li-po battery located under the vehicle floor that requires no manual charging. Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) goes further with 1.6L/100km Combined[F] efficiency, and is able to charge from 15-95% with a 3.3kW charger at an estimated 3 and a half hours.
The 6-speed automatic transmission is smooth, sporty and smart.
The Drive Mode Selector lets you dial in the Sorento’s driving character, from enthusiastic Sport mode to ECO.
A born adventurer. The available terrain mode provides optimum driving force on challenging road conditions during your drive. Terrain Mode will offer better traction, stability and control on different types of surfaces such as Mud, Snow or Sand, featuring dedicated driver modes for each scenario.

The Blind Spot Collision Avoidance system helps prevent or reduce the risk of collision with vehicles in the adjacent lane or coming from behind when the driver switches lanes through audio-visual alerts and haptic steering feedback. The system will also activate to help prevent the vehicle from colliding with the adjacent vehicle approaching from the blind spot, if the driver fails to observe or obey the audio-visual warnings prior.

The ASCC will also come to a complete stop if the vehicle in front stops, and will accelerate if the vehicle in front accelerates within 3 seconds.
